Title: Yiee!
Post by: folderol on October 16, 2007, 10:37:56 PM
This is just a total gas. Has me rolling on the floor :D

I've just discovered how to use formant filters in Zyn. And 'Yiee' is the first 'vocal' I've produced - more by chance than anything. I thought it should get it's first airing with a really approriate song  ;D

Have fun, but do not play this while drinking coffee in front of the monitor.

+1 : I did many experimental tunes with delay lama, but they ended up being crap... :-[
Keep on Folderol, this could be an interesting tool to enhance your creativity

Cheers

Thanks Guys.

I never even heard of Delayla Lama - sounds somewhat Tibetan!

I'm in a creative vacuum at the moment so I thought I'd play with Zyn some until (or in the hope) inspiration strikes.

Unfortunately I think Yiee was beginners luck, as in spite of wasting many hours since, I've not come up with anything else remotely usable :(

Nice job getting that thing talking!

Wyatt

PS..just replaced it with a looping version..be careful..it can make you forget how to turn it off.  ;D

Will,

This little sonic treat came along at a good time for me, because Zyn is waiting for an audition on the new Linux computer. This endeavour is way out of my comfort zone, so your efforts with teaching synthetic mice to say "aye" is inspirational.

I hope to follow in the "folderol footsteps" and make ZynAddSubFX my synthesizer of choice...this could get annoying... :D

Oren.

Sadly I haven't been able to produce any other vocalisations yet. Still, with you rapidly catching up on me i expect you'll make some soon ;D

Maybe I should put up my Zyn. patches here, but under what heading? They are not exactly 'samples'
