Title: The KM & 87PM 2009 gig!
Post by: Marc JX8P on March 31, 2009, 12:37:42 PM
Details will follow, but as an advance warning: in september 2009 (presumably the first half) we will play a live gig again together with Percy's great band HAND and rock band Meuk - and maybe some others... Location will be in As, Belgium so start checking your calendars! Expect a more definitive date and location in the coming weeks... If you're free in that period and you want to come, let us know by posting here!

How about a simul-pod-video-cast type thing. (or just a DVD...? ;))

As audience or participants?

Either way it sounds like a good idea - provided Eurostar doesn't collapse again!

Your choice audience or performer, both are fun.

Oh well, in that case I'm up for being in the band - until I get kicked out for being erm... off key / off time / off ensive ;D

We're still checking out the arrengements concerning the location where we'll play; cost will obviously reflect in for how long we'll be able to rent it and hence the number of acts that will be able to play. Having said that, we welcome every visitor and we'll definitely look at providing some time for those who want to play too - in any case I'd love to have a big jam session afterwards. We'll try to see how it all works out soon and get back to you. In any case, Folderol, it'd be cool to see you there!

PS : Any other people planning to come ? The more souls the more fun ...

I'll be there as both audience and performer... ehhrrr... supposing there will be enough place and time to have me as performer  ;)

I'll make sure my agenda is free in September.

Looking forward !  :;

Looking good then. :D

We need dates!

The very earliest I can manage is the 5th September because July, August & the first week of September have been booked by co-workers, and we are not allowed to have two engineers off at the same time :(

However, from then on is clear, and I really can't see anyone wanting later holidays.

Cool! Like I said, we are planning to do this first half September and we'll let you know asap - we still need to research a few things before committing to a specific date but it should definitely be a weekend in the first half of September. And I would also imagine on a Saturday.

Edit: we've settled on Saturday the 12th of September. Need to get confirmation from the location where we'll do it. Further info to follow!

It's set... Mark your agenda for September 12th 2009, from 19:30 expect several great acts (including us and Kara-Moon) spanning a wide range of music from electronica to pop and great rock...

And please let us know if you plan on coming, we're trying to get a fix on how many people to expect.

Marked in my diary. I should have no problems getting there, but will need to stay somewhere overnight - don't really want to try to catch the last Eurostar of the evening :(

Unfortunately we had to cancel the 2009. One of the other bands couldn't come which made it for several reasons impractical to continue with the gig. It has therefore been rescheduled to spring 2010.

Very sorry to hear this  :'(

My calendar had just flipped over to September yesterday and I was thinking about asking more details :(

Yeah, this is a pitty. But we'll try not to let 2009 get us passed without doing anything. We still will try to organize a jamming session somewhere in October or November. The audience will be spare, but at least we can rock !
