Title: You Don't Understand Me - a new song Post by: MarioD on September 29, 2009, 06:06:21 PM “You Don’t Understand Me” is a new song by Pumping Station Road. Bob is doing the Mr. Slowhand impersonation, Steve is singing lead, Danny has the last guitar solo and I’m on everything else.

Somehow the song lacks the life and energy of the band's other material. It could be the singer's presentation, or perhaps the tempo is a bit slow... it's hard to nail down, exactly. Perhaps some punchy percussion would add a little structure and definition...? I sent this one up knowing that we were not satisfied with the song but we couldn’t pin point exactly what the problem was. Comments and suggestions like yours will go a long way in helping as sometimes you just need a fresh set of ears to pick up stuff we overlook.

Basically, I agreed with everyone else, but added that it sounded as though there was some room echo also tending to spoil the singers efforts. Was this a live venue of studio. Then it all goes well and the tune is free at last :) C'est un problème commun! J'ai un gros dossier de chansons inachevées ou oubliées :( J'ai parfois Regardez à nouveau et avoir une idée.
