"Booze Makes You Stupid :D" is a song about those of us who, at one time or another, drink more than is wise....
So, here's the bass and drum track that I came up with, based on "ghosting" some ideas from the Monk's punk song "Drugs In My Pocket".
(I'll perform the bass again and do a better job... :-[)
If you feel inspired to contribute some vocals or instrumental tracks, use this as your backing track....

Beats per Minute: 70  The verse works in "A" , the chorus drops down to "E".

...and here is a brief clip of a vocal idea, just to give an idea of the "spirit" of the song...

(when rendering audio files for these collaborations, I have "dithering" turned off in all my audio applications, so that you can download them and apply editing and effects without getting any added noise in the process - I ask that you do the same - for the sake of best audio quality :-*)

ok..mate ive mapped out some crazy lyrical concepts for this song.
n need yer comments.
i hear this sung in a daft cokney comic style.
heres the lyric concepts.
if yer ok with the general idea , i'll av a bash at vocs this week mate.

the "apples n pears" (stairs to bed..to those who dont know ).

but boy was she mighty pissed , cos cos instead of a hard tripod

i once ad two birds in la belle province.
i chatted up at the local "danse".
but when i woke up they was snoggin each other..
cos i was in the land of nod n drunk as a bugger.
but i really got turned on that crazy night..
ole percy was doin a dance n gave me a fright.

i once met a duchess at a hunt.
what a corker she was with a nice soft "hows yer father".
she had a big ballroom n lots of champagne.
n she kept on yelling
"faster , faster, do me again".
but she wasnt so happy when i did her maid,
poor likkle mary just wanted to get laid.

when i look back at all the women n all the booze,
well the the booze got pissed down the flippin loo.
n i reckon i pissed off the women, most of the time TOO!!. (huh !!)
but dont blame me, i'm just a cokney lunk.
its in me genes to get laid n get blind drunk.

Don't know how this fits in with what has already been suggested.
I haven't had much time but have just thrown together 3 guitar tracks over half the song, to illustrate my way of thinking on this.

Let me know if any of it works with your ideas.  8)

i left your voc in at begin cos i like it..
sorta an intro. but levels prob cos it has backing with it.
but no matter all ruff at this stage.

the one thing i think it needs n obviously youll have to redo
backing if you agree with arrange is..
mebe a key change ?? to make things more interesting ??
cos i was slicin n copying the backing n pasting etc to create the ruff arrange..
things are a tad off..but no matter.

anyhoo gimme yer feedback mate bad or good.

ps..if you agree with the backing some lyrics need
furher finessing once i get final backing etc etc.
these are just lyric ideas at this point.

We have some action coming in from Thom(elwoodblues1969), and maybe a few other folks, so let's see what they have for us before doing any further arrangement. There may be several vocalists in the mix.
What you have there is already premium :- - if you're inclined to lay it down again to your satisfaction in this key as a monaural track and post it here, please do. If we need something more in another key, we can always ask.

Sorry, it was late last night when I made these.

Here are the three individual parts.
They are each One verse and One chorus, just ready to loop together in any combination.
I have taken the processing off and supplied the 'clean' guitar.

In the example I sent last night part 1 was thru GreeMachine, part2 thru FreeAmp and part 3 thru Voxenboogex.

Play with them as you will  :-X 8)

I managed to locate and export my virtual vocal tracks,but once I had them in Audacity,I discovered that the effects were present.

I duplicated James' monaural track, delayed one slightly, then panned them left and right. A little reverb on the whole stereo guitar track brought it into the same "room" as the vocals.

I'm up for "ghosting" this tune, and collaborating on a song of our own with this basic chord structure and some fresh lyrical ideas...

your too kind mate..but i just didnt have time.(tons of flaws.)
cos i was baby sitting my dear doggie thats just
had some surgery. (all went good.).
i was just poncing around with it for laffs.
didnt even have the time to do vocs properly.
cos many family things to do.
blinkin tax season ya know..lol.
so just one shot ruffs. n guides.
it needs to be done properly with proper backing etc etc.
frankly i would like to do it properly n it needs a live drummer also.
n bass support n lots of other things.


i would like to comment bout one thing.
re songwriting.  
i feel what the song illustrates is the importance of
hooks , paceing/tempo and  how even simple chord structures can be very effective.
i used to have blazeing debates..lol.. with good folks into chamber music and
various advanced chord structures. who would look down on this type of song.
my argument was often however you just cant beat a well produced
danceable song with a good beat.

like you i'm up for anything.
particularly uptempo that ROCKS..lol.
ps..watch the drummer carefully in the you tube vid.
superb drummer.
