Title: B.M.Y.S(Oren & Thom version Post by: elwoodblues1969 on April 06, 2010, 07:33:37 PM With the way things are shaping up in the original thread,Oren's song is turning into a community effort-which is great,but I operated under the assumption that there was going to be multiple versions....so I've already completed this version as a duet.
So if I am to contribute to this as a group effort,I am going to have to start from scratch,as I never figured out how to utilize the virtual track function on my Tascam. Anyhow,this is what I came up with....here's the lyrics... So you think your ready for another drink,well Mr. Thirsty...you may as well have one........can't get much worse than it already is It doesn't matter what your poison is...liquor-beer or wine It will have you acting like a fool,although you think your fine Alcohol will fry your brain and make your body weak and if you drink enough of it you'll turn into a freak Booze makes you stupid-that's a natural fact It will turn your brain to mush if you don't straighten up your act When your drinking you're not thinking and your headlights are blinking Then your ass is stinking and your liver is sinking Your back teeth are floating and your bladder's overflowing Your stomach is bloating and your ass is moaning...while your mind is roaming Now your johnson is seeking for a late night tweaking,but your thoughts are leaking and the girls are freaking Now the girls are screaming and the guys are steaming Now your thinking of fleeing,cause it's time for retreating Now your home and stoned and your mind is blown....then you rush to the throne,where the vomit does flow Then you flop down dead and you shit your bedspread....now your head is spinning,cause the booze is unforgiving You wake the next morning and without warning....your at someone else's house,with someone else's spouse You get up to run,cause you know what you've done...but your head weighs a ton and you fall on your buns Now your high strung,cause it's no longer fun-to be so unkempt and so unsung........ One of my favourite aspects of Thom's approach to remixing and adding material to a song is his regard for the original theme. No matter how bizarre the project gets, the flavour of the composition remains intact. Thanks for the cool-to-be-kind endorsement...so glad you enjoyed it..very shweet!! :D @ James, At one point,I did not think that my Tascam had virtual tracks-as there was no folder that appeared on my computer screen,but after tinkering more with my Tascam today,I discovered that there are virtual tracks.
