Title: Super Sinister San Francisco Shenanigans!
Post by: elwoodblues91 on January 09, 2018, 01:37:05 AM
This is the last tune I had done, before my audio interface's driver crashed.Since Presonus no longer supports my $300 interface,I now have to pitch it in the trash. >:(
That being said,I will not be making music for quite some time. When I gather the necessary funds for a replacement,I will buy a class compliant interface(if such a device exists.)Otherwise,I am throwing in the towel and will never make music ever again.....because I refuse to throw out any more perfectly good hardware, due to a f**king software driver issue.

Great soundtrack music.  You are a natural at these.

What Presonus unit do you have?  Most hardware units are supported by someone when the MFG gives up support.  If I get the units model maybe I can find something for you.

Thanks for commenting. 8) Regarding my Presonus AudioBox44VSL...I phoned Sweetwater tech support today and told them what I had read on Presonus's website, which was that this product was no longer supported.
However...the tech guy visited the website and he told me that as of 12/19/2017,there was a new driver available(as it turned out, they made a major change in the software,as it has a radically new configuration.)
What I cannot figure out,is why Presonus just didn't state on their site, that their was an upcoming replacement for a new driver?? Thanks for offering to help. 8)

They must have just put it up on their site.  I went to Presonus.com, clicked on products, recording systems/audiovox VSL interfaces,  audiovox 44 vsl, then downloads.  Kind of a convoluted system ain't it.

The easiest way to find drivers is to google/bing your units model number.  In your case google/bing Presonus audiobox 44 vsl, look for the Presonus site in the listings then click on downloads and it will take you right there. Much easier this way.

I'm glad you got things straightened out.

very well integrated with the action - as ever.
Sorry to hear about your hardware issues. Although it can take time and patience, I've always made a point of hunting out class compliant kit.
