Title: Bond Girls Are Forever
Post by: elwoodblues91 on June 01, 2021, 12:22:51 AM
The original of this tune was done about 11 years ago on my former Yamaha MOXF6 keyboard. Most of the sounds of that board were mediocre & the composition was sloppy.
I finally got around to rectifying that and my newly acquired Reason sound set, was a big help.In addition to improving the overall sonic quality,I also added new compositional segments.
I hope you all enjoy this as much as I enjoyed rewriting it...

Interesting piece. Thanks for sharing it!

I like the was that the various themes appear (well, to me ... I don't know if this the intention) get more "modern" as the piece plays. Neat.

I was wondering about the pauses between themes on the first play and was going to suggest some kind of transition ... but, listening again I think the pauses are fine.

I've done so many Bond tunes over the years....so I wanted this tune to stand apart from anything else that I had done. This piece was designed to reflect what you would hear in a Bond film(hence the several different segments & pauses between them.) The various different styles of compositions were intended to encompass how the Bond music has changed over the many years & decades that have transpired in the franchise since its inception.

Thanks for your nice comments. :)

Very "Bondish" and cinematic for sure.

Excellent instrumentation and as usual outstanding bass and lead lines.

Very good work Thom.
