Temperature Rising is just a little quick and dirty fun song I did for the heck of it. A flashback to the 1950s?
I am playing my Squire P-Bass. I am also playing the Swam alto flute via my breath and keyboard controllers. The finger snaps are wavs and Band-in-a-Box is supplying the balance of the tracks. https://soundcloud.com/mario_guitar/temperature-rising |

I might be able to help but I will need more information.
The problem may be associated with your set up, i.e. not velocity. Are you using CC2 on the Swams? Are you using CC11 or CC7 on the Ketron? What DAW are you using? Does your DAW have a CC converter? Are you trying to use the Swam and Ketron simultaneously via a DAW? Although I do not own either the Ketron or the Sylphyo I do have a Akai EWI, a breath controller, and Swam instruments so I do have some experience with such problems. If you wish we can either continue this here or via email, your choice. |

My Sylphyo EWI can play with fixed velocity (max 127) or dynamic velocity. Ketron SD module (SD-2 and SD-1000) works well with fixed velocity. SWAM instruments work well with dynamic. I cannot use SWAM with Ketron. Maybe there is a way to do it? Ketron is a great little module with many nice sounds, but the documentation is quite bad, just a list of some SYSEX events. There is no software to control it. It could be much more popular with good software.

My friend Bob came over on Sunday, 3/24, and started to jam a chord progression that I immediately recorded. As I was adding effects to said progression he started to play a lead. It was a super lead but since he does not use picks the recording of his lead was extremely low. Instead of messing around with preamps and such I gave him my Harley Benton fake Gretsch guitar, which is always ready to record: I wanted to get as close to a first take as I could. I played my SX Fretless bass and via my keyboard controller the violin. Band-in-a-Box supplied the piano track.

Thanks Mario... not quite what I intended. I tried to make the organ part at the end rather like the organ sound you used to get in some dramatic horror films, but hey, if you enjoyed it anyway it's all good FWIW if that was your intent that personally I would have added some heavy distortion to that organ. Just personal differences that's all |
