The idea of a jazz finish sounds cool, actually. Use the existing groove (which I really like), and elaborate on it.
To my mind, "rocking it" does not necessarily mean rock-and-roll. Anything with beat and energy qualifies.

If some death-metal guitar would come in handy, just to slide way back in there as a backdrop for some tasty jazz in the foreground....let me know Evil

Yeah, that sounds like a good possiblity. 
Also- 'rockit' does imply more than just that single synth line..it dies there.

We'll see what we can come up with here..
