Hi guys, there is a new interesting contest on the planet internet....
Have a look here : http://www.100-music-songwriting-contest.com/

First to assure you, this is not spam, I know who is behind the site (it's a french guy).

Now, I had the idea, since we did quit well with 'cyberblues', why not compose, create, record, mix a song and contribute it to the contest as 'The KM collective' artist ?
What do you think ?
Good idea ?
Willing to collaborate ?

Let me know  Grin

Kara,

I like it!

Just as I like your NRGK1 collaboration song Smiley

Time is short, and several projects need finishing before I can move on to anything new. Marc and I are finishing one, mharv and I have one going for the 2008 download album Respect, and Will (folderol) has a hot one I have promised to develop with him soon. Bob (rharv) and I have two on the go, and all of my own songs on the web need to be re-mastered.

Just so you know I'm not ignoring you  Grin  It's all about the timing Cheesy

Oren.

Cool, we have allready a couple of people interested  Cool
Now, what do you think of this very rough sketch that I made ? Good enough ?

If yes, I could upload different versions
- Without rhodes
- Without piano
- Perhaps even with sax, if we find another sax player ?

What it certainly needs....
- A text and a singer  Grin I just put in some vocal loops to give an idea  Roll Eyes
- Guitar
- Other instruments

Let me know what you think....

 Lips Sealed
Sorry,
I'm usually up for almost any sort of collab, but I'm afraid this is about a million miles away from anything that I could contribute.  Great stuff, though.
I'll wait for another bus coming along!  Cheesy

I'm just behind you in the queue James Sad

I think I'll enjoy the result of this greatly, but I really don't have any kind of feel for creating in this style.

That's a classic piece of work, Kara. A work of art in its own right.
Great sound, catchy  composition.

Fred and I could probably riff all night long to that track - but that's not really the point, is it?  Cheesy

Impressive Afro

Wow Rony! That's some excellent work there. I'm very impressed.

I think it would be a stretch for me to add anything better than what you have, but I could probably do something with hammond if the piano is out...feed off the rhodes perhaps. I would need the rhodes chord structure. Or, I could always just add a lead along with or instead of the sax in any section.

That said though, I'm not sure I even want to try anything with it and possibly do it a disservice. If I were you, I woudn't let any of us touch it and I'd finish it myself. Perhaps ask your better half to sing on it. It really is good IMO...I loved it!!
