A hot-tub outside with 104F ! That makes a hell of a difference ! wOO Let´s forget about Belgium and do it rhav´s place. Wink
Then the only problem would be : make sure that everybody can spend the same time in the hot-tub ! Cool
My Tanga-Girls are yelling all : "Yeah !" Huh

Now just fixing a date and we´ve done it again ! Grin
I love it when a plan falls together.

Ciao,

Hmmm.

You'll have keys there you say. That would save me a lot of hard work - the only problem then would be to discover whether I could play anything in a group Shocked

The easiest thing for me would be to hop on Eurostar. That takes me straight into Brussels Smiley

I suppose i could drive there but I've never driven on the continent and wouldn't fancy that idea (especially driving on the 'wrong' side of the road) without a navigator.

Well I been checking out the cost for the Amsterdam ferry....and it's a rip-off! If you travel alone you have to pay as if there are two of you!.....So I may be looking at eurostar too, as my budget is extremely limited.
Unless I drive down to folderol-land and then we share the driving from there. I'm (physically) limited to how far I can drive these days (poor old soul).
Still....plenty of time to look into things.

Suggestion for the English people : you´d better don´t come by car, unless you´re a Kamikaze (too much traffic !).
What about flying ? In England you get the cheapest flight tickets !
In Belgium and Holland are even more instruments than cars, so no problem on that side, I suppose.
Very important might also be what and how to play.

Cheers,

Max... .. . wOO

Eurostar is propably a good solution, and if I remember right you can get cheaper tickets if you book early in advance...
We could pick you up at Brussels railway station, no need for driving on the 'right' side of the road then Cheesy

There will be plenty of keys, Moon has a couple, I'll bring a couple,...
I'll bring allso one my bass guitars, propably the Line6, since that one has a DI-box that can be plugged in a mixer.
So, no need to travell gear !
Except for guitars... don't have any of these and Moon neither

Could we perhaps have a running number of people who are coming on the first post of this thread? Something like:

Will come: x, y, z
Will try to come (good chance): a, b
Wants to come (but little chance): c, d

Where of course the letters are the names. It would be handy to quickly get an idea of how many people are coming. Of course I realise that this is not definitive and will change but it will offer a centralised place to see these things.

Technics were nice boards; very nice.  They should have done better and sold more.  Must have been lack of advertising as the price was good.

I don't know how everyone could post in the same post, Marc.  Unless kara wants to keep editing it.
The language barrier should make things interesting too!

I don't want anyone to have to learn English- it's a tough language.

I'm sure there will be enough guys there that can translate.  Besides- if I come I'll want to learn some new chords and some new words.
I was just commenting on how many interesting facets there would be to such a gig; music would indeed be the common language.

English'll do fine for me, for the rest I can do Dutch and Germand and a tiny bit of French - mais vous doit parler tres lentement! Cheesy

In any case, I believe we'll have plenty of translators and like it has been said: we all speak music!

In the north of Belgium people speak mostly 4 languages (not at the same time) and everybody speaks and understands English in that part of Europe.  More important : food, booze, etc... won´t be a problem either !
The weather could be something different...  What about some of those umbrella-girls from the F1 races, in case of rain !?

Cheers,

Max... .. . wOO
