Interesting post..

We can always say that the new software is crude, and we will always need the human being..

To quote Barnadine:

"When all of human life is gone, the soul of man will linger on..an insincere emoticon."

..technology is seductive, de-humanizing, and oh so much fun.

Well IMHO, Microsoft should better allocate a bit more R&D resources in an OS that works....  Roll Eyes

Well I had a listen. I don't think we have anything to worry about for a very long time. Indeed, programs like this are going to make us sound even better Smiley

In case you don't think this software is for you because you can't sing at all (like me), there's always this : http://www.programurl.com/software-idolmusicstar-downloadnow.html  Wink

Seems a little desperate, doesn't it?

But these are all tools, really.

For instance, in the case of a shovel: it is not as "hands on" as digging a hole with your bare hands, and the resulting hole may not have that "personal touch".................but there are folks who can do a very artful job of digging with a shovel....
In the end it is all about the artist, not the tool....I hope....  Afro

But then there are those who believe that we are the 'tools' the music uses to express itself. Shocked

... I just hope the music doesn't find a better tool  Tongue

Will,

This scenario, by my reckoning, would require a symbiotic relationship. Therefore, as the music improves and deserves a better "tool", the musician responds by improving in kind - sort of a natural flow where one aspect of the relationship positively stimulates the other.

(thankfully, entities like Microzoft don't figure significantly in these cosmic matters Grin)

I think we're going to be all right, mi amigo..... wOO
