And the last one...

This song took us a long time to write and to agree on it  Grin
Sheliak is the third planet of the Lyra galaxy and we wanted to make something special out of it.
The challenge was to abandon classical chord progressions, melody rules and use some special sounds. All that and keeping in mind that it had to stay accessible for an average public.
So did we succeed ? Judge for yourself and comment  Grin

As usual
- Live performed, Azell with here windcontroller and myself on keyboards
- Melody written by Azell
- Chord progression and arrangement by myself

Kara(& the band),

A strong lead with interesting sounds, interesting drum pattern that rings out with authority...very nice..and while I understand you want to go for the experimental trip,it just does not take me anywhere, because for my personal taste,it needs some harmonious backing to evoke some emotion-in order for my mind to take that journey.
Everything that is there is really good, but it leaves me hungry for more backing melodies.

I could agree with you Thom, but don't forget that this is a song that we play live as duo. So the arrangement is limited by my two hands  Grin

I have been so busy lately, but I am really glad I got a chance to spend some time with this one tonight.

Definitely, most definitely approachable.

This takes the audience on a smooth trip with a gentle pace, a gliding lead, and has just the right balance between the rhythmic and the melodic components.

It also has a very high re-listen-ability quotient in my book. It is very easy for a five minute song to become too long for itself and this held my interest effortlessly.

Outside-The-Box done right!

Thanks for sharing this and for sharing the Live Gig with us!

Happy New Year Everybody.

Cool

Succeed, and admirably, at that! It has all the ingredients of a good science fiction movie soundtrack. Cool

Beyond a doubt!  Super song.

If you hadn’t told us I would that thought there was at least 3 or 4 musicians here.

Kara that was a super chord progression and arrangement.

Azell, what a beautiful melody.

Two thumbs up!

Thanks you Mario  Cool

The different musicians are a demonstration of my fusion combined with the G2X, which combine different sound layers, giving the sound that you hear.
The only limitation I have is that I have only 2 hands  Grin Hence the answer to Thom.
It is true that the song could use some counter melody at some spots, but our priority in our live set is to keep it realistic and believable. The fusion has a build in sequencer (which I never used...) which could make it possible to add some automatic melodies, but the experience with live performances is that people start to doubt about the live performance if you add to much to it.
And actually, the whole live setup is build with Azell as solo front musician, where I only play background. Most people like this, like they have something to look at....

I love the sounds used in this one and the melody as well.
It really creates images of space in my mind
