This month's theme is 'Resolutions'. I decided to just have a bit of fun.

No electrons were harmed during the production.

Will,

I had a bit of difficulty making out the lyrics later into the song,as there's alot happening...there being so many elements...but apart from that, this song was a quite a bit of fun to listen to,as it has that "Monty Python" humor to it-great stuff! Grin
The weather around here has been very droll & I have not seen any of my friends in such a long time,so this song was a nice pick-me-up-thanks for the morale booster! Cheesy

Thanks for listening Thom, and I'm glad you liked it overall.

One of the problems I had was that the song is so fast that each time I tried to record it, I kept getting tongue tied as I got to the end. I was trying to get somewhere near the style of Gilbert & Sullivan with their fast comedy sketches Roll Eyes

For anyone who is interested here are the lyrics:

Christmas is gone and I'm overweight,
the turkey was stuffed, so was I.
I shuffle around in a dressing gown,
my trousers don't fit anymore.

I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.
I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.

The prezzies are scattered all over the place,
the wrappings are up to my waist.
The house is a tip, I can't see the floor,
oh, where is the TV remote.

I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.
I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.

The kids are all screaming, The wife's in a sulk,
the dog ran away with the cat.
There's bills to pay, and there's work to do,
and I'm still hung over real bad.

I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.
I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.

I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.
I promise you,
I promise you,
I'll never do it again.

Until next year, that is.

A resourceful bit of poetry... Grin
...and your vocal faithfully follows the instrumental melody line - not an easy thing in the Folderol Zone Shocked Wink.
