Okay, I have my "buy my CD" page, http://mellowood.ca/music/cedars/index.html,  up for some time now ... and I've sold some Cd's with it. Yeah! But, this really isn't going to be my financial salvation Smiley

I think that I really need to let folks buy a track or 2 online ... but I have no idea how to do this. I'm thinking that if I can let people get a track for $0.49 Huh and the entire album for maybe $4.99 I'd manage a few more sales.

So, here's the question: Should I try to do this myself with my own shopping cart on my web site (I had enough problems setting up paypal to send me money on real CD sales ... so that might be a lot of effort ... or is easier than I think)? Or should I use some 3rd party to handle it all for me? And if the latter, suggestions?

Thanks!

Great idea! Didn't know that it was there Smiley

I've sent a PM to Kara to get more info, etc. But, for public info ... it'd be nice to have more details of how to get involved on the site.

Bob,

Because you are so generous with your development and support of Musical MIDI Accompaniment, I  am happy to re-master your songs for MP3 or Ogg Vorbis so you can put them up for sale on the K-M site. They will sound very close to CD quality,  with just slightly less dynamic range.

Oren.

Having your music available on-line is important.
Selling your music is a different thing.  By far you will sell more CDs at any show you perform.  Every time you play somewhere have the CDs there beside you (or at a table at the back)...
We only sold a few hundred CDs... a couple times.  Our experience has been that over 95% of sales happen at a performance.
