It develops nicely and has presence and style.

He means that you've accomplished what you were aiming for -- you took the idea and "nailed" it like a hammer on the nail.  I second that sentiment.  Being a lover of certain modes of classical music, this is a very romantic piece with well thought motives and a grasp of musicianship that's got soul hard to beat.  Thank you for sharing this... quality!

..pardonnez moi..sorry I didn't get back for so long.

"nailed it" means you did a particularly perfect job of it.

Like when a carpenter pounds a nail in with one stroke instead of many..its because he does it well.
