Alarmingly bad news for Americans

I was just made aware of this today and if I had not,I may very well have been killed by this,along with my pets.THIS IS NOT A JOKE...PLEASE READ On.....

My entire apartment is full of fluorescent light bulbs and they all contain a lethal dose of mercury(4 milligrams).If I was still unaware of this and I dropped & broke one I-as well as my cats,would be exposed to this shit,as not having cleaned & disposed of this substance properly,would result in exposure to it.
There are actually some vague warning signs in small print on the light bulb itself,but I had never thought to look.
These light bulbs were once made in Kentucky,U.S.A.-but like most everything else,they are now made in China....that is to say,that EACH & EVERY FLOURESCENT LIGHT BLUB IN THIS COUNTRY,COMES FROM CHINA.
Get this....the E.P.A. has actually issued a 15 step clean up & disposal procedure,in the event that you accidentally drop these f**king light bulbs!
As if this wasn't bad enough-yes that's right,there's more..it gets worse,much worse.....AS OF 2014,CONGRESS WILL PASS A LAW,BANNING ALL INCANDESCENT BULBS....THIS OF COURSE,MEANS THAT EVERY LIGHT BULB IN AMERICA WILL BE A TOXIC MERCURY BULB.[/size

Light emitting diodes are likely the best way to go...

Agree with both of you. Here in the UK we're being pressured into using CFLs but have no means at all to re-cycle them or dispose of them in an environmentally safe way.
