A quick question for everybody...

I have always used the "Roomworks" plug-in to add reverb to my voice and instrument recordings - just because it came with Cubase 4 - but I don't think this is up to par with the more "professional" reverb plug-ins. At least it sounds that way when I listen to my recordings versus professionally produced songs...

I was curious what you all use for reverb... Is there any reverb software or hardware out there that you all consider worthwhile? I'm not familiar with many effects outside of those included with Cubase, so I was hoping someone could offer some insight.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

 Cool
My two 'go to' reverbs are:
Dasample GlaceVerb and
Kjaerhus Audio's Classic Reverb

both freebies, of course.

I've recently started using Bootsie's Epicverb:

Thanks guys. The Glaceverb download site doesn't seem to be working, I'll have to try that again later. Just tried out epicVerb, and that sounds very nice. Gotta love freebies!

I'm glad you like it Smiley
I still havent figured out what all the knobs do yet, its not the simplest of reverbs but I do like the sound and it does have tons of usefull presets.
Another one I'm starting to like is the "Modern Flashverb', its almost the opposite of Epicverb, it only has three knobs but also has a certain sound I like. Its part of a bigger bundle of free fx by Antress to be found here:

http://magnus.smartelectronix.com/#Ambience

My go to

tons of presets
even more control
built in EQ, extensive damping section,

oh, did I mention it is free (with nag screen at opening)
I donated; I like it that much. I found a bug when using with PGMusic products and the developer responded by fixing it right away

Glaceverb is nice too
Don't care much for Classic reverb
Karma FX reverb is 'OK'
Ozone4 reverb is pretty good too.

In linux, if I'm not using Zyn's built-in reverb I use gverb. Don't know if that's available on windows, or if it is in fact a linuxified equivalent to something like glaceverb.

In Linux, I use the "versatile plate reverb" - available in stereo and monaural versions in Ardour, and the "TAP reverberator" in Audacity.
