If anyone is looking for a super deal here is one.  The Ultra Analog 112 softsynth comes with a ton of very good sounding presets. It listed for $199 and is now on sale for $15.  Yes that is fifteen USD dollars. I just picked it up and it sounds great.  Many usable presets.

Seems like a pretty good deal.  Any chance you could upload a small sample of the sounds?

I remember this VA synth being reviewd in Computer Music a while ago. It got a very good score with the statement that this one was one of the best software synths. I'm surprised that this one is selling so cheap now.

This was the conclusion from Sound on Sound:

Ultra Analog's main selling point has to be its selling point; for the money, this is a lot of synth. There's stuff missing when compared to more expensive software, but it's nothing that you'd notice while you're having such a ball making new sounds (if you're feeling a bit flush, though, check out the AAS modelling bundle: all their current plug-ins are included, offering an insane saving on the individual packages).

In short, I heartily recommend AAS's Ultra Analog to anyone who likes working with computer-based synths. The simple interface hides the heart of an analogue beast — from throbbing bass to supersonic leads, it's all here.

For those who want to hear how it sounds: see http://www.applied-acoustics.com/ultraanalog/overview/

If I was living in the states, I would get one !!!

Mr. Moon, this is an electronic download with email serial numbers and registration.

I see no reason why you couldn’t order it.

OK, here goes the story: decided to download (ehhr.... buy) this synth and give it a try. I mean, $15 for a good anolgue VSTi synth is to good to be through ?

Wel, to be honest, I think this one is great value! I had 1 hour and 30 minutes to make a song today, so I did... with only using one VSTi synth costing me the same as about three beers over here... I had more fun drinking 3 beers  Wink

It's not the greatest composition, but it's giving you an idea what you can do with $15.Have a listen...

This is a perfect example of what a good sounding synth can sound like in the hands of a master wOO

I agree, but than again, I didn't used any effects in the mix, only some volume and pan envelopes, jut to demonstrate this nice VSTi.

If anyone is interested to have a go for a mix, or work further on this song, I can send the seperate tracks (9 in total)...

P.S.: Mario, thanks for the comment, much appreciated !

Very impressive, both from the point of view of the synth itself, and from how quickly you got a handle on it Afro

My Ultra Analog demo.

This is another Friday night quick and dirty song all done on my keyboard.  My apologizes to all of the real keyboardists out there but hey, what can you expect from a guitarist  Wink

Sounds indeed ultra analogue !  Wink

I like the sounds. Your demo song is a great example what this synth is about.

Maybe we have to do a contest: make a song using only 1 synth.  Grin
