The forum has a new virtual band
The Franglies

Band members :
James Offthewal : Guitar, Bass
Azell : Wind instrulents
Kara : Keys

The idea of the song came during a repetition on my keyboard where is was doing some finger and scale exercises.
I send the track to James and asked him if he would like to collaborate and write the lyrics for it.
During the initial mixing session of one of the first versions, Azell heard the song and decided to jump in with a bit sax.

Song title : Eternal Love (a true story)

Composition : Kara
Lyrics : James Offthewal

Instruments :
Piano & drums: Kara
Guitar : James
Sax : Azell
Vocals : James

 Cool
This was yet another honour ... to work with Kara and Azell again.

Lyrics:

On that day when we first met (again)
We knew that we had met before (back then)
But this time would be different
This was the time it would last
We both knew it was true
The feeling that we had to be together
And that it really was going to be forever.

Eternal love is what I crave
Eternal love was what you gave.

We almost missed each others heart (so near)
Those years that held us both apart (my dear)
But when we met that night, we got it right
And the years have proved it so.
I want to thank you from my heart, knowing we’ll never part
I have to say you saved my life
When you agreed to be my wife.

Eternal love is what I crave
Eternal love was what you gave.

This combination works! Excellent performances from each participant, and a nicely executed production...

Outstanding performances lady and gentlemen. As well as a super mix.

Two thumbs up to each one of you.

Azell, that was some very nice sax playing.  I’m assuming it was a real sax and not your wind controller.  If it was your wind controller what was your sound source?  Thanx in advance for your time.

Nope, it is here wind controller  Grin
connected to the Yamaha Vl70m sound module. The Vlm is not the standard Yamaha module, it is equipped with the TURBO VL Upgrade chip for the Yamaha VL70-m from Patchman music : http://www.patchmanmusic.com/turbovl.html
This sound module give good sound especially sax, flute and clarinet. The horn sections are also pretty good, you can hear them in the blues song we did with James.
Already 'out of the box' they sound pretty good, but we spend weeks to reprogram the patches to adapt them to here playing style. And sometimes we still tweak them a bit to a particular song.

Thanks for the comments  Wink

Well you fooled me!

You’ve done an excellent job on reprogramming them.  That added to the fact the Azell is a phenomenal player produced the most realistic sax I have ever heard!

Very nice work all of you. The sax is especially impressive. The whole has a cosy 'small room' feel to it.
