Hi all,

Zaphoid made a remix of an old song of mine called "It's Time".
I liked this old one and was very happy with the Zaphoid remix, very creative.
He added a subtle oriental feel that I enjoyed a lot.

It's here :

The original theme is here :

Thanks Zaph!!

Hi Mag

don't know Zaphoid but I guess he's a 'buzzer' too...
His remix makes your song even more 'slow evolving' and hypnotic.
The oriental feel is very subtle and there are other stronger elements sharing the stage.
I enjoyed both versions

Cheers

Since I'm a buzzer myself from times to time, I heard a couple of tracks from Zaphoid on buzzmusic.
The guy is really good as a couple of other buzzmusicians.
It is actually unbelievable how many good musicians still use buzz, despite the fact that it is old, source has been lost and there are a couple of alternatives.
There are a couple of project going to try to recreate a Buzz clone, but TBH nothing that comes close to Buzz at the moment.

Great track

Hey Mag... it's funny I've still got the original tune on a burned CD somewhere... I really loved that tune when it was first created by you and I got listened of it at futureproducers.

Personally, I liked the original one better, though the second one has some very interesting use of texture and new timbres that help make the song take on a new perspective.  I like the new variations towards the end with some oriental/new-age melodies.

I think I like the bass better in the first one for sure.  It sounds more like a synthy-stand up with a good stab and swell.  YOur drums in the first one are much better, and your organ has a richer resonance in it because of the lead that doesn't detract in it.  I like the darker lead in the original better.  Nothing can beat it.
