I agree with most of what this guy is saying,as it's common sense,but the cost of getting started($300) is not very realistic. Roll Eyes One can easily  keep the cost under a grand,if one-say,only needs an audio interface,a microphone,powered speakers,a midi controller and a DAW with some VST's...which would amount to at least $500,but this is a very limited and bare-bones approach.
