As a slight digression. I mentioned elsewhere that I've managed to get Yoshimi running reliably on a netbook. I haven't tested driving it with USB MIDI yet, but hope to do that soon. With second-hand netbooks costing peanuts theses days, it's worth considering for those really far-out sounds.
