If you are using MMA on an RPM based Linux system (e.g., Fedora) here are the necessary files to build your own kit.
Contents of the zip:

Code:
  rpmbuild/SPECS/mma.spec
  rpmbuild/SOURCES/mma-devl.12.10a-paths.patch
  rpmbuild/SOURCES/mma-devl.12.10a-player.patch

Just add the recently released mma-devl.12.10a.tar.gz in rpmbuild/SOURCES and build ahead...

* mma-rpm-build.zip (1.71 KB - downloaded 310 times.)

I have no idea what this means (I've been using debs for to long ... and I don't understand them either).

I generate the rpm download using alien ... is this something I should add to my conversion?

BTW, the ratio of downloads is about 40% source, 50% deb and 10% rpm.

It is mainly beneficial for people on rpm based systems that do not have the ways to deal with .deb files and alien. I needed it to create an rpm for 12.10a, so why not share it?
You may safely ignore it, and point people that ask for rpm spec files to this thread.

Ahh, the mysteries of packaging. I'll leave this alone ... and remember the pointer.

Thanks.
