KVR competition this time is to be based on any of the stories of Hans Christian Andersen. I chose "The Little Match Girl". Story of a little girl selling match sticks in the winter night. No one buys from her and she is shivering and dying due to the cold. To keep warm she goes on lighting the match sticks. Each one lights up a scene of her dream like food, home, grandma etc., They vanish as the stick burns out. To keep her grandmother for longer time she lights the entire lot of sticks with her. As the sticks finish she dies and grandma takes her to heaven.  The track begins as she lights the last clutch of sticks and continues till she dies and flies to heaven with her grandma. Hope you like it.Will be very happy to receive comments.

A poignant story, and capably represented in music. Well done!

The ending seems abrupt - was this intentional?

Thanks Oren. There is a 3 minute limit for the competition. I would have preferred to extend the tail a little longer to get the effect I wanted at the end. Now, only the suggestive part is retained. It sound bit boxed in due to that.
Death of a child also can not be a point of release,I feel.
Thanks once again. Smiley
