My good friend JonD just applied for Social Security and during his interview one of the topics was his deceased wife Diane.  She passed at an early age of 52 in 2002.  This brought back many fond but melancholy memories.  Together we, but mostly JonD, wrote this song in her memory.

Very nice!

Just to be overly picky ... I did find some of the transitions a bit jarring. Eg. At 0:49 when the piano comes in. Just think that could be a bit smoother. But, like I said, I'm being picky!

OFF TOPIC: I've been playing a few sad songs lately in memory of some friends who aren't with us any more. But, each time I do I wonder if it's right to play sad stuff? Perhaps happy would be a better testament?

Very nicely done,gents!Heartfelt....bittersweet and just lovely. Cool I can only imagine just how difficult this must have been for both of you to write. Cry As for myself,I don't handle grief very well, because to this day,the song that I wrote for my deceased cat from 4 years ago, still haunts me...so much so,that I have not been able to listen to that song since.
I went into that project with the intention of honoring my cat and perhaps, dispelling some of the pain...but found that creating a song, just makes the pain linger on(at least for me)...but when you have a friend in close proximity to you,to share the load,I guess it's quite manageable(something of which,I don't have).

Beautifully done. That's all I can say.

Thanx to some excellent suggestions I reworked parts of this song.

Let me know what you think.
