New Year resolution started.

This is a song I did last week.
My favourite lyricist sent me these fine words so I strung together:
guitar, dobro, bass, harmonica and vocal.

ENOUGH ROPE BLUES song lyrics
by Joel Sattler

if you give a man enough rope
he is bound to hang himself
if you give a man enough rope
he is bound to hang himself
all that you can do is hope
that he don't hurt no one else

if a man is in too much pain
and he got no place to hide
if a man is in too much pain
and he got no place to hide
he thinks his only choice is jail
jail bail or suicide

if you got no home no job
no car no kid no wife
if you got no home no job
no car no kid no wife
you still can choose your own death
but you may as well choose life

although the past is writ in stone
and the future is unknown
maybe the past is writ in stone
and the future is unknown
you can still make peace with God
you don't have to die alone

enough rope
enough rope
all that you can do is hope
when you can't climb
and you can't cope
throw the man a rope

 Wink
James.

Brought a smile to my face right at the start... till beyond the end.

Thanks for this James Grin

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
