Do we need a RPM?

Let me know if you think an RPM is valuable.
The RPM I'm generating is done via the program "alien". Unfortunately, this is not the same as a native RPM and does have some flaws (mainly with permissions in some of the target directories). Currently, RPM downloads are only 5% of the total MMA downloads ... so my thought is "why bother".
Yes, I know I could generate proper RPM packages by running a Linux distribution in a virtual machine. But, frankly, it's a pain.
So, unless there is a compelling reason to continue with this or (better!) if someone can point me to an easy script to create a proper RPM I will drop it on the next version of MMA.
Comments welcome.

Is it okay to add this to my webpage? Will you continue to create these?

Yes, that's okay.

At least I can try... Just let me know when there's a new version and what the changes are. Building the rpm is fairly trivial.

Thanks so much!
I was going to add this link to my web page, but since you only have an actual file to dl, it's a bit of a problem. If you had a landing page with a bit of a menu ... then I could just put that up and the user could select the most current. Let me know.
Best and thanks for supporting MMA!

Nice!
Now, this is a very low-traffic forum, so I do not visit it often. Is there a means to get a signal when a new (devel) version becomes available?

Not sure. Maybe someone else can chime in here ...
I do have a mailing list (google group) which advises on new releases, but not devel.
Personally, I have the kara moon site added to my rss feeds (Inoreader) which lets me know about new posts on the site. But, I don't think it can limit to just one forum?
