Who? Me?

WWW

I moved into my home in 2000, and a couple of years later at around this time I was surprised to see a single bluebell and even more surprised to see the much rarer whitebell. Now look. After all these year my garden proudly boast 4 of each!

With that in mind, can you guess how long it took for the patch to develop in the second picture? Quite a long time eh?

So...
The third picture becomes even more amazing!

Over here we have an organisation called the Woodland Trust. I've been a member for quite a long time and that last picture was taken at one of their places. I was surprised to read that over 70% of the worlds bluebells are found in the UK. I knew our little island was overcrowded, but never realised a plant group had the same problem  Grin

Nice!!!   Shocked

Bluebells grow here like a weed, although they appear slightly different.
Along with the bluebells - which are not native to the island - grow fields and fields of camas plants, also with bright blue flowers...

The first two photos are Camas - the third, island bluebells.
