Having used my Mixcraft 7 DAW in a long while and when I discovered that Mixcraft 8 was recently released,it motivated me to spend some more time with a neglected DAW.
Added to which,I recently purchased
Spectrasonics Trilian Bass Module and found some lovely freeware soft-synths and decided to make a tune, exclusively with these new sounds.
Everything but the drums and bass, are freeware VSt's.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

As usual this is excellent Thom!

Yes there are some excellent free VSTs and VSTis out there.  Most now-a-days are at the very least acceptable while many rival those that you can purchase.

Thanks for the kind compliment Mario! Cool Yeah...one of the best free synths I ever found, was TubeOhm's Alpha-Ray synth! It wasn't exactly 100 % free(which is to say that if you wanted to unlock the included effects,it costs $6.00...but very well worth it!) Cheesy
