Since I've been on the fence about purchasing AAS's Ultra Analog VA-2 synth...well...I found a rather remarkable synth, that is not only a true analog synth in every sense of the word,it's also reasonably priced and has a $10 per month payment plan.
Also equally remarkable,is the simple and efficient GUI,which is comprised of a single screen...so everything is accessible instantly! So not only is Sylenth1 as intuitive and fun as Ultra Analog,it surpasses AAS's sonic quality in every respect and the icing on the cake,is that Sylenth1 has 7 different skins to choose from!
This tune is named after one of the presets and everything in this song, was done with Sylenth1(with the exception of the bass and drum tracks.)

Yes indeed...Sylenth1 is a testament to the fact that soft-synths can be just as colorful as vintage analog hardware.

Some folks on the KVRaudio forum argue that Sylenth1 is a mediocre, overrated and overpriced soft-synth and some went even as far to hurls insults at me for giving this synth praise.
In my opinion, synth snobs(typically millennials)...who have so many choices in hard & soft synths that are rife with technological advances that were not in place 30 years ago...these people determine what is true analog and what is generally good,by what suits their particular taste, which boggles the mind! Roll Eyes
I don't much care for KVR for that reason, but still...KVR is an amazing resource for info, news and discount/coupon info...as it's a metropolis of software developers that offer customer service in the form of thread discussions.

Anyhow...yeah...Sylenth1 is absolutely a must have and I give it my highest recommendation. Thanks for commenting! Cool

Thom, don't sweat it!  Some people are just plain A-holes. Others are just trolls trying to get under your skin and/or start a war.

There are soft synths out there that I do not care for but for others it is fantastic.  All that means is their needs/wants are different than mine.  Also I have some that others may think is junk but again they fit my needs.

What I am seeing is a lot of duplication is the synth world.  I have a few soft synths that on many patches you can't tell which one it is as they are so close in sound. I'm sure you have some like that yourself.

Absolutely agree with this. Everyone has their own preferences. There is no right or wrong, just what you (as an individual) find most comfortable.
