Went on another free synth VST rampage,which yielded the best results to date!I began with this video,which was quite a good resource;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tkVLu5ULpM

I then scoured KVRaudio's website,which is always fruitful...but then...I discovered another YouTube video from Computer Music magazine and if you purchase a copy of their #257 issue,you get this incredible synth absolutely free(no demo)...but it is a lite version of their full version,which is called Thorn.
It's stunning how powerful Thorn is(considering it has one less oscillator and half the effects.)About half the tracks in this tune are from Thorn and everything apart from the bass and drum tracks,are all free VST's.

This is so good that I should be the demo song for Thorn.

I agree that some of these free VSTis are as good as some of the purchased ones.  It is the operator that makes the difference and you are a perfect example of that.

FYI - The free version of Thorn is also available from other sources.

That's one very impressive synth, and you certainly seem to have mastered it.
Very good work!

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Thanks for the very kind words Will,but I've only scratched the surface of Thorn(especially since I only have the lite version of it!) Cheesy
