Who? Me?

I've started to take this away into my own style now. I've switched the piano for two guitars, dropped the percussion (for now) and extended the piece with a 3rd verse variation.

It is still a bit rough. The guitars in particular need to be aligned a bit better in places, and I might change them a bit more to give greater seperation.

As usual comments are welcome.

<edit>

Oh dear, cold light of dawn Sad

Using guitar definitely does not work. It completely fails the 'Next Room' test (where I literally walk into an adjacent room) and just sounds muddled.

I will have to think of something else!

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Update!

I've replaced the file with a version that has the extension but no guitar or drums.

Ideas welcome

Once again, this is a beautiful piece, in my view.

If you wish to elaborate on this by adding 'real' guitar, and anything else that fits, I would be most happy to take a 'collab' for this one.......maybe for the next Kara-Moon CD ?
It is certainly the sort of composition that 'grabs me by the lugs' as we geordies say!!
Let me know......I'll be happy to oblige, Will.

I think I know what could make this song better....
The melody is a bot too syncopated and laks fluidity. I think it would gain a lot from been plaid by a windcontroller.

Do you have a score for the melody (or a midi file)?
I could ask Azell to play it on here windcontroller

Just an idea

Thanks James. Yes I'd certainly be interested in that. Not sure how the best way is to go about that. I could probably put a wav or flac file on my website if you want the highest quality base recording, but see Kara's post too!

That sounds an interesting idea.

MIDI would be the way I would have to go. Would you want a midi file of just the melody, or the whole piece?

It is actually only 6 tracks!

I could also let you have the ZynAddSubFX parameter file if you wanted to do a whole reconstruction.

I would be interested.....when you think that you have a finished 'length' of piece, just send a wav or mp3 file and I will put it in Reaper and just 'noodle' round it.  If anything good comes out I can send you the 'good' files for you to remix......or I can ask you for better individual files......
take it as it comes?

Folderol

Can you post a mp3 mix without the melody & the midi file.
That way I can print the score for Azell and ask here to play the melody
James could then add a counter melody with his flute

Sound like a good plan, what do you think ?

James ok ?

As a ... duh!

Thanks for opening .mid I've attached it now. The melody starts at bar 9. Not quite sure what the Rosegarden -> MIDI conversion will think of 8 bars of silence!

P.S.

Without the melody on top I think I hear a couple of suspects chords in the last verse Sad
