Welcome to the new Kara-Moon site !

Musical MIDI Accompaniment (MMA)

"Musical MIDI Accompaniment" is software developed by Bob van der Poel. You can find his home page at : MMA's Home Page

"Musical MIDI Accompaniment" is an accompaniment generator--it creates midi tracks for a soloist to perform over from a user supplied file containing chords and MMA directives.

MMA is very versatile and generates excellent tracks. It comes with an extensive user-extendable library with a variety of patterns for various popular rhythms, detailed user manuals, and several demo songs.

Here you can find a song that is created with MMA, only the melody is played live.

At Kara Music Production we are big fans of MMA and we are trying to give the developper some support. Therefore we have created this section on our site and a special section in our forum.

Feel free to send tips and remarks to kara (at) kara-moon (dot) com or post them in our forum.

The Showroom

If you think that MMA is just a simple accompaniment program, we will be glad to proof the contrary.
This is exactly the reason we have created this showroom for you.
Enjoy listening to this songs.

Amadeus, not the real one, but close...

Our contributions

What' s new ?

Version 1.0 RC2 comming real soon now !
Changes :

Starting in this version the CHANGES files will be split out. A new
file will be created for each release.

Changed the search paths for the modules, libs and includes to include
"c:mma". This should  make life easier for Windows users. For RC files, added "c:mmammarc".

Changed the command line options a bit. '-Dx' is gone, replaced with
'-Dxl' and '-Dxh'. The first generates Latex docs, the 2nd html. This also led to some html code generation writing.

The binary distribution now has the text files in a separate directory.
This is tidier and it resolves conflicts with files like 'install' and 'INSTALL' in non-case-sensitive environments.

The program 'mklibdoc.py' and a README has been included in the utils
directory of the binary distro. This will update the HTML version of the library docs.

In SCALE/ARPEGGIO tracks you can now use a fractional value for RANGE.
See the docs.
