Title: What A Wonderful World
Post by: bvdp on December 08, 2014, 06:52:11 PM
This is the last from the Creston Valley Music Teachers 2014 concert:

We had the privilege of having Don Clark (trumpet) join us. He's played trumpet all his life and was a great addition to the group.

Nice instrumentation all around...would have preferred this performance as an instrumental though.

Aways tough to sing a song made famous by a master like Louis :) Lots have tried ... few succeed.

Thanks.

Really liked the Trumpet / Sax duet. How much practice did you get on all of these?

Absolutely NO practice. We (piano, bass, sax and vocal) did have a number of practice sessions. But, Don (the trumpet player) just looked at the score while we were setting up. I told him I had the solo from "A" to "B" and told him I was looking forward to his backup :) He just nodded ... and off we went.

Wow! I was already impressed, now I'm stunned!

Really enjoyed watching this! I wish I could express myself like you with an instrument. :-)
