While we are at a standstill here (elderly family health issues plus I just got my DAW computer up and running again) we/I have not been recording anything new.  But I did get a chance to remix and old PSR song.

Let me know what you think.

Schweet!
I particularly enjoy that bit of slide guitar followed by the distorted electric. Sound like Mr. D., at it again... Grin

Simple but effective tune. I like it.

Thanx Will and Oren for taking the time to listen and comment.  It is greatly appreciated.

Oren, that is Danny on the slide guitar with me on the distorted guitar. We are both pleased that you liked that part.

The electro-urban drum kit is a very unusual choice, but like Rui mentioned,it has that Neil Young flavor to it-cool song! Cool

 Cool
Almost missed this little beauty ...  Shocked

I love everything about this. It is SO 'downhome' Neil Young type of style.  Very lovely.
I could see myself in this band.

My one and only nit-pick is probably a rather strange one ...  Roll Eyes
It concerns the way certain phrases are 'heard' and translated in different English speaking countries ...  Lips Sealed
The phrase at 00:16 , which comes in again a number of times later in the song, really does not come across well in the UK.  Lips Sealed Undecided

If you don't know what I mean ... ask Folderol  Lips Sealed

Superb song  Grin

Thanx all for listening and the very kind reviews.  I’ll pass them on to the guys!

Rui – Neil Young!  That is quite the compliment!

Thom – We/I just pick what we/I think sounds best for the song, regardless of what genre it is suppose to be in.

James – you’re welcomed in this band anytime you choose!  Would you be so kind as to explain what phrase is in question?  If we offended anyone we are truly sorry.  That was not, of course, our intent and we do realize what is accepted in one area may not be in another.  Plus each country may have different meanings for the same word. For instance what we call the hood of a car you call a bonnet while a bonnet is something a lady, regardless of age wears over her head over here.  Off course we also call a hood a gangster, troublemaker or a bad guy! Got to love the English language Roll Eyes  Again if we offended we apologize.

Well ... sorry to have stirred up a hornet's nest.
No offence caused, Mario, it is something that is down to 'how we say' certain words.

The expression in question is 'our souls' ... and it comes down to how an American would say it and how a Brit would say it.

You remember the old song ... 'You say tomato I say tomato' ... well in this case it's 'you say ass I say arse'

You get my drift now?  It is actually an expression which is often used for comedic value over here.

Sorry I brought it up.
It's still a fabulous song  Cheesy

Wow! What a good one. I agree sometimes there is some neil young feel, especialy when there is back choirs. It even makes me think of c,s,n &y in these places.
I really enjoyed the 'unclean' sounding which gives it a lot soul and feel.
All instruments sit perfectly!
A superb song

Hi Daniel,

Thanx for the honest review.  Actually the voice is not mine but our lead singer’s Steve.  Don’t be sorry about hating the drums!  I would rather see an honest review any day!

The expression in question is 'our souls' ...

Yup - in church my brothers and I would just about have a fit, trying not to laugh when one of the folks combined "our and "souls" in the same sentence. Same thing for "a" and "soul".
(Does that mean we were bilingual - and never knew it...? Cheesy)
