Not so strange. Some of the folks here are very well connected, but don't talk about it. May as well enjoy the attention, because it's liable to increase with time.

Yes it works, but if you want to send a message don't use it from the top right, because there is a nasty bug in the to address entry box, which makes it difficult to enter a user name there.

Best way to send a PM is look up a member, look at his profile and use the option 'send this a member a PM'

This doesn't work for me either.
 If I select a profile, including yours, I get a 'error' message-
"you can't look at just any profile".

I see now that you can use the bubble in the forum posts under usernames to do this..
