Title: Dark Chi [Breaks, Ambient, Experimental] Post by: Northern_Fist on May 30, 2007, 07:14:17 PM These days, I'm just jumping from one style to another. Here's another first from a genre that I really can't put a finger on. I made this some time ago, but I forgot to share it with you folks. It has the sloth of a trip hop beat without the lo-fi, the dark ambience of something else, and the bass experimentation of a downtempo generalization.
Dark Chi (putfile) (http://media.putfile.com/Dark-Chi) Some Oriental moods are present. At first I was going to call it "Triads in Bristole", but that didn't quite fit. At the end of the track, the mood that I was going for was a downtownish, midnight Hong-Kong-ish, creepy Shadow Warriors, Low-Tone, Feudal mysticism kind of monstrosity. You may or may not like the bass-hit (starting at 1:35)... It's Ok Northern Fist, I like contamination among different genres, the further the better. Very solid rhythm, and a good floating melody, the oriental feel you were talking about is subtle but well developed and NOT cheesy. Well done in terms of production, I really enjoyed it.
