Beyond my thoughts

Sorry,but I really don't hear much of a difference between the original & the new versions,as I can barely hear the bass...but what I can hear...well...it does not seem to mesh well at all with Moon's composition.

This is a very subtle layer to the drum track,but not enough for me to really comment on.In my opinion,this needs alot of work.

Just for fun,I decided to add my ideas to this piece,but I had a very difficult time mixing everything together...since I only had an MP3 to work with.
I had made two different versions,the first one I discarded,because the bass track was too low in volume.

This version has more volume with the bass track,but it's still not loud enough,despite the fact that I cranked up the volume of the bass track to the point of clipping.
I worked on this for 6 hours & I'm just burnt out at this point,but it was fun to tinker with.

This of course,is not something that Moon can use,but I would not have been able to contribute to the YouTube video anyway,because I have no comprehension of keys...like key of G,D,F..etc.,as I do not read music at all.

I liked the bass addition, but wasn't so keen on the perc. Mind you had I first heard the tune with perc. I would probably say it didn't sound right without it

That's scarey..because I so get it.

Thom, I'm impressed with what you did here. You just demonstrated how to bring this one to the next level and you make me agree with Kara that the bass is giving an extra dimension. I particulary like the triangle sound. The composition really is going at about 1:40. The other additions are also great, and you added a nice finishing though with the string at the end which could have been the beginning of the next episode.

Great craftmanship and you're giving me tons of ideas !

This is definitely the best so far. Not only do I like the base you've added, but the percussion is really subtle and fits like a glove.

Interestingly you've pitched the bass in such a way that there would still be room for a very deep slow sub-bass.
