Je vous présente Karine, prof de chant à "La Voix Lactée" de Lille, qui nous a si bien accompagnée pendant le stage de juillet à Chinon. Elle est magnifique, je l'adore. Les Françaises sont aussi des "grandes pointures". G Quartet dans "C'est mieux le matin". www.youtube.com" http://www.youtube.com/embed/NzP5FGEqAsc" I present you Karine, singing teacher in "La Voix Lactée" (The Milky Way) at Lille, who accompanied us so well during the internship from July to Chinon. She is very beautiful, I love her. French women are also "larger sizes".

I'm sorry, Azell .... this does absolutely nothing for me ... except make me sad This is, of course, my personal opinion and does not reflect on you at all. When I see, or hear, three obviously talented musicians take to the stage and produce something which has no structure, no melody and is so self-absorbed it makes me wonder what 'jazz' has turned into. She has an astounding voice and vocal range with a beautiful tone. I would love to hear her sing a recognisable song. Apologies for being blunt, mon cher James

Because the band's presentation and musical style is much like Canada's Joni Mitchell - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWA4bCXDdXc&feature=related - I find myself enjoying them. Normally, I enjoy more structured music...

This Karine Gobert sings with a lot of passion, has a pretty voice to match her beauty, but I'm afraid I have to agree with James, that this music is awful. There is also not much harmony between her vocals and the band's music.I would much rather hear this woman sing something like this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4oY8ojxp_8-Thom

Phew ... I'm glad you are in agreement After I posted those comments and slept on it I thought that I may have been a bit 'outspoken'. It's just that I have the same opinion about 'abstract music' as I have about 'abstract art' ... a bit of a waste of talent. Anyway ... I must agree about Joni. One of my all time favourites. When I first met my wife she introduced me to Joni's music as she had all of her albums. We only stopped getting them after she headed too much in the 'jazz' direction. @Oren ... can you tell me which song was in your 'clip'. It was 'copyright' blocked over here in UK. James

Well. I see that we do not all agree. That's great, this allows the discussion. As with Rony, we did not like the same jazz. I then added two songs sung in duet with Karine and Catch (guitarist) at the concert. Twice well-known titles. Give me your critics Azell

That's better .... thank you. This is a true showcase of talent ... recognisable songs. I don't know the first song but they both show a superb command of subtle harmony singing. Beautiful. James

Thanks, Azell. I would not have recognised it as I am NOT a fan of U2. They are one of the few bands who I cannot bear to watch or listen to As for the hurricane ... I was wondering the same thing I know that Thom and Mario are both living in that region. PLEASE CHECK IN AND LET US KNOW HOW THINGS ARE, GUYS James

Watched a bit of the clip. Yes, good voice and interesting styling. Like a lot of the other commenters I'm not sold on the style ... but I'm sure lots say the same about me But, what I want to know is who the cool dude with the red glasses and beard is? Here I was thinking that the '60s were gone forever! Joni Mitchell: Never was a fan. But, "Big Yellow Taxi" was a hell of a good song.

Bob, I'm with you: I hear a voice that could give me goosebumps, but nothing ain't happening because I don't feel any vibes in the style. I leave the comments for those who understand jazz Moon P.S.: But I do love U2, this one gives me goosebumps, over and over again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmSdTa9kaiQ&ob=av2e
