The December contest required us to make a song following the two rules
1. Song based on the definition of ”Fish” according to the urbean dictionary
2. Song in the style of a 70's artist

So I chose the following definition
Excerpt from Urban Dictionary
fish = An animal that lives in the water and swims. They might kill you in some instances.
"Where's Kenny?"
"Dude, a fish killed him."
"Damn."
"Let's go play wiffle ball."

And decided I wanted to be Michael Jackson for a night

And here is my song
Maneater
Prologue
Sometime in the 70s there was a guy called MuddyJoe
and he believed that he was Michael Jackson

Song
Fish fish man-eating fish
comin at ya with a swish
he's gonna get ya
who's the fisher who's the fish
Who's the dinner who's the dish
he's gonna eat ya

swim he's gonna get ya
swim he's gonna get ya
swim you've got to swim
swim he's gonna get ya

That fish its a hungry fish
Ain't so rosy when you're dish
Got to get away
Is that the mouth thats open or the gates of Hell
not being choosy but can't stand the smell
Get me some  tooth paste

got to swim he's gonna get me
got to swim I've got to swim
got to swim he's gonna get me

Epilogue
That was the end of Muddyjoe's music
but Mr Fish was kind enough to grant MuddyJoe's last wish that Mr Fish would brush his teeth before making a meal of MuddyJoe.
Mr. Fish didn't go near humans ever after as that guy tasted like mud.

The End

Tools used:
Cubase, Prodyon Enchoir and  IK products( SampleTank, Amplitude and T-Racks)

Thankyou Kara and James!
It was fun to do it as it was a little crazy and I've not done cover music for years. Though this was not a cover I had modelled it on MJ (Don't stop till you get enough etc)with muted guitars+ horns+ string runs + falsetto but if it sounded like Prince ... I guess my cover song skills aren't great  Grin

The style reminded me very much of "The Jackson 5". Smooth use of retro sounds, and an accurate reproduction of '70s pop music.
I'm impressed! Afro

Thank you Oren and Mario for your kind words.
I hope the Indian accent is not too annoying Smiley

Style fits perfectly, and is right on the spot with the theme. I take my hat off to anyone who attempts a Jackson-esqe song Afro
