I have had several difficult experiences with Dell's warrantee/tech support...and I had purchased a 3 year extended warrantee.

Oh yeah, and btw Fred..definitely a +1 on the reinstall advice you have been getting..that's where I will be spending my next few days. Wink

Thanks Wyatt and Oren!  Not happy to hear about your experience with Dell...that's for sure! I would be really pissed if that happened to me. However, this will be my third one without poor support incident. Of course it doesn't hurt that my computer friend/guy (he's a really great guy) is a sales and repair vendor for Dell. So if anything goes wrong, I just call Rusty, instead of Dell, and he takes care of it. Of course he complains sometimes, but hey, that's his problem Cheesy Cheesy

Cool Fred..which is the same reason I got this one built for me..the warrantee lives right up the road.  Grin

All up and running (finally). I took my time and was careful with my setup, file locations, updates, etc...  Had some bumps in the road. A big one last night setting up my PODxt and getting the E-MU software mixer to communicate properly with all the programs. Gave up on it at 3:37 am Roll Eyes But got all that fixed this morning.

I'm glad a did a complete reinstall...it was worth it. Everything has the latest update and all is running smooth and fast. Its really nice having a dedicated and capable DAW. No excuses now Cheesy

Thanks everyone for the help along the way!
