It swings To be honnest, the scarbee guitar isn't what I liked the most, it's the keyboard riffs that make the song The section between 2:00 and 2:30 is dead and a sort of anti climax... And just when it goes off again, it stops, what a shame k

Kara, As it turns out,the Scarbee program uses quite a bit of juice. This is only a 6 track song and when I tried to add another track,I got a crackling sound,so I new I had reached the limit. I do have the option of adding another gigabyte of RAM,so that's next on my list....but I don't know how much of a difference it will make. I could however, export everything onto my hardware multi-tracker and then fill in the thin area you mentioned with sounds from my hardware keyboards....which is probably what I'll do. Thanks for your kind words & input! -Thom

Sounds good, Pilgrim! Yes indeed Thom, if you keep putting up songs like this I’m gonna have to buy me a leisure suit When things start to crackle and pop, which they do quite frequently with the new Kontakt 4 stuff when run in XP, I bounce the track to a wav, mute, archive and hide the track in Sonar. That freezes up the portion of the CPU power that it was using thus eliminating the snap, crackles and pops. If you can do this on your DAW it’s worth looking into. Another way to eliminate the problem is to increase your latency and increase your buffer size. I’m assuming that you are using ASIO drivers. IF not then changing to ASIO driver may do the trick for you. Good luck

Mario....you mean that you don't have your old leisure suits moth-balled in your closet?? Thanks for the comments & technical advice...I'll have to look into those options. -Thom

Nice track. Well balanced mix so that on a first casual (leisure?) listening I didn't actually register the individual instruments, just the overall effect.

I decided to take Kara's input under advisement & then run with it. I increased the length of the composition & supplemented the areas that needed it. In doing so,I added some live, real time tidbits using my Korg M3 in an effort to round out things better. -Thom

Well 'Mr. Prince' you did a great job This song has a great swing and you filled it up just right to keep the listener attention trough the whole song. Those solo keyboard riffs dropped my jaw on my knees, please never say again that you can't play live I would take you in my band immediately It's also very well structured, the drop downs come exactly when the listener expects them and it's a great dance number. Only the end could need some work, perhaps building of before ending. One of your bests in my opinion k

Thom this is fantastic Although that funk guitar is excellent it was your chops that took this over the top. Great stings also. I’m beginning to think that you are the next Quincy Jones.
