EMDOT RS-202 Sample Set
(That's the fella, on the bottom there)

Been a long time since I stopped over here, and this is the first time I've had anything to share sample-wise.

I've started building some Kontakt 2 instruments using samples I've made from my Roland RS-202 string synth. This is the first of them, the rest will take a while to compile.

Right now all I've done is the Strings I register run through Ensemble II.

The rar file contains a folder with all the samples (16-bit, 44.1 kHz, mono) and two .nki instruments. One of these instruments is nothing but the raw samples, one per note, F1 - F6, with no FX or modulation. The other is an instrument with FX and modulation, mapped one octave lower and with the final note spread over a range of F5-C6.

The rar is only about 8 MB, the samples themselves are just over 13 MB. Both .nki instruments use the same samples.

There is a readme file with info on the Roland RS-202 and the files/samples herein, plus the legal junk. (Which basically says you're free to use these as you like in your own music, but not to sell the samples/instruments in any form. Share the sample set if you like, but please do so by sharing the whole file so people see the documentation and legal stuff, yeah?)

N-Joy!  Grin

Great Emdot
If the samples are as wav's in the package, i can package them in a couple of other formats. That is if you didn't apply to many special tricks to them  Grin

I can't read kontakt format

Looking forward to others  Cool

Hey, Kara! Yes, the wavs files are included. I'd appreciate it if you could package them in a couple other formats. Kontakt is the only full featured sampler I have, so that would be great.

Get those to me whenever and I'll include them in the rar archive.

A litle gift for EVE 2 users
A soundbank with 12 presets using the RS202 soundset only  Cool

Usage :
1. Place the soundset (see previous post) in the directory : <Eve directory>\EVE DATA\WSsounds. You'll have to create this directory. Be sure that you don't change the name of the soundset.
2. Copy the bank in <Eve directory>\EVE DATA\EVE BANKS\

That's it  Cool

Amazing what you can you can do with a good sampleset like this  Grin

I think that for the most creative use of this soundfont you should try it in Crystal.
To get you started I've made a preset bank with 12 presets.
Be sure that you have the soundsont in the Crystalsoundfont directory !
