Blip,

If Depeche Mode where to ever write an ambient piece, this would be it-as it's very distinctive, with a transcendental setting...very pretty-I like it alot. O0

However though, the song does not remain as interesting as like the first 2 minutes and the last 2 minutes of the song.

I think that if the middle of this song had more content, such as it being layered with some chord progressions or something to that effect, this song would really be alot bolder and complete.

Also,if the drum tracks had a touch of reverb on them,it would really thicken the mood & accentuate the whole ambient theme quite well,I think.

If you agree with my suggestions and you wish to work on this further,I would love to hear the end result,as this piece has the potential to be something quite extraordinary. :)

Cheers,

Thom

As for as I know something about modern styles, this is Ambient, actually very good ambient, not sure it is IDM.
I 'think' that the build up is to slow to call it IDM.

It"s not easy to make a minimalistic track and keep the listeners attention, you have done this very well. And with a clear mix !

I think of myself as something of a Blippophile, now, and this creation is a great example of your constantly improving ability and style.

Hats off to the USB guy,

Oren.

Yes, ambient is how I'd describe it.

It is a very relaxing piece. Very smooth.

Hi Blipp
you're well known here for great arrangements and extreme care for finely tuned productions
this one doesn't make an exception.
I don't really care labels, but this is certainly a rhythm imposed ambient thing imo.
My appreciation goes to the choice of sounds and the melancholic atmosphere achieved with a wise minimalistic arrangement.
Well done

Cheers
