Title: News On Wyatt
Post by: elwoodblues1969 on March 13, 2010, 04:50:55 PM
I had contacted Wyatt a few days ago for an update & he asked me to copy his reply;

Thom..My tumor shrunk 40%..then an undiagnosed duodenal ulcer ruptured..peritonitis..emergency surgery..took a week befor they would say I would live. ..a week later they said my life was spared by 15 minutes..three surgeons including a gunshot specialist (for speed).

three weeks later I cannot stand up..im like a vegetqable..but I am getting better..the cancer was a piece of cake compared to the actue surgery, but now I am recovering from both.

i haven't been able to type, but I'm still good lookin'

copy this to km for me , eh, bud?

Kevin

Thanks a lot for passing this on.

Boy is he going through it! Amazing that he is still able to keep his sense of humor.

Please pass back my very best wishes, and hope for a full recovery.

Good for you, keeping in touch, Thom! :-

I think of Wyatt often, and have kept communication to a minimum just so he can concentrate on healing.
Wyatt - we want you back, big and bad - so, get on it! :;

Oren.

I've done exactly the same.

Thanks for letting us know, Thom.

!

Perseverance prospers..I am making progress. In the US they didn't give me 4 months to live..last night my tests showed the cancer is 80% gone  already.

The acute fatigue may take longer , but for now my body is making the decisions as to where the energy goes.

I have had a really good week.

Does anybody have a copy of my song, "MAZATLAN"? Somehow I got to mEXICO WITHOUT A COPY..THX.

Miss you guys like I miss my guitar.

Wyatt

First of all that is fantastic news :; :; :; :; :; :;

DON’T worry about acute fatigue. It took me over three years to get over acute fatigue, however the cancer was gone and that’s all that matters. I used to live on 5-6 hours of sleep a night.  Now, even after 6 years of being cancer free, I have to sleep 8-10 hours a night.  I just need it!  Of course it may have something to do with me becoming an old fart ;)

I suggest that as soon as you get back we all should do a collaboration to celebrate!

I second the community collaboration project-that should be a mandatory thing! :;

Now, that's great to hear Wyatt. Better to have a cute fatigue than one less attractive!
