The Philarmonia Orchestra has made available a huge database of orchestral samples that you can download for free. You will find single notes, phrases,
articulations, percussion samples and orchestra sounds. Here is the link:

Astonishing!

I just checked out a couple of these. They are very good.

I've been watching these for months.  Did you catch the thread at PGMusic? I just mentioned these samples there yesterday, so it seems a coincidence here today (?)
The problem with them INO is that they don't have enough samples of any instrument to make a complete patch (yet).  I hope they keep up on them.
I tried to assemble a viola patch, but it's missing some of the samples..same with other instruments there.
What they have is very high quality, but not complete.
I also wish they'd have seperated the instruments out in the phrases area.  They are more like a song snippet at times, when they could have been used for a very cool effect.

..of course for the price they are excellent! Shouldn't be complaining I guess.

mmmh I see... anyway they're useful mixed up with other samples and sounds for a more 'dense' orchestral effect

Thanks for the link

Cheers

Interesting possibilities..

..will it be possible to download the Phrases as a group?

It looked like I had to select them one at a time..kind of a long process.

Did I miss something?

Thanks,

Wyatt
