Whenever I'm on a down or am stuck for inspiration I tend to delve into the huge catalogue of Traditional Folk Songs.
This is one I just finished today and is a Scottish song which can be dated back to the late 1700's.
I play my Fylde Alexander guitar, Fylde Octavius bouzouki, Fylde Touchstone mandolin and a Canadian "Mountain Made" low whistle.
Sit back and enjoy 4 1/2 minutes of tear-jerker.

Another good production, but I found the song a bit more 'difficult' if you know what I mean.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Yes, another great production.
I am always in awe of how you mastered all of your instrument!
Sounds great.

Thank you both once again for your kind comments.
Yes, Will, I know what you mean, mate.
Apart from the actual sad story line the Scottish dialect takes some following.
I have a long history of hearing this as my grandparents were Shetland, which has it's own peculiarities, but I do understand that it takes a bit of fine-tuning to the ears in order to pick up on some of the nuances.
Mario. Very little mastery going on these days with the way the arthritis in my hands is taking over.
Most things I do now have to be achieved with multi-takes.
