Title: An interesting improv/jam session. Post by: folderol on May 14, 2019, 06:24:34 PM Yesterday evening I got together with 3 other guys for a bit of a 'do' in a pub in Leeds. Later in the evening another friend joined us... considerably reducing the average age ;D
It turned out to be a great evening. The pub supplied a room for free, then after we got some food and drinks just left us to enjoy ourselves. One of the guys took some pictures, and another recorded a short Vid. Empty Plates! (https://i.imgur.com/zhroWyT.jpg) The Kit (https://i.imgur.com/69vbndn.jpg) Evidence! interesting stuff. Certainly a bit different to the usual 3 guitars and an out of tune banjo! I always took you for more of a musical 'loner' than a 'collective' type. Looks like it all took some setting up. Title: Re: An interesting improv/jam session. Post by: folderol on May 15, 2019, 09:17:14 AM I do usually work alone, but it's nice to have the chance for a real live jam session. The kit didn't actually take a lot of time to set up... once we had some idea of what we wanted. Having a decent mixer was the important bit, and the guy who owned it knew exactly haw to use it - another rather important point ::)

Title: Re: An interesting improv/jam session. Post by: folderol on June 19, 2019, 01:02:35 PM Thanks again guys. It was indeed a lot of fun, and we've all agreed we need to try and find the chance do do something similar - the problem is getting everyone together. We come from all over the country, and with different work/leisure backgrounds.
