Title: KVR March Post by: offthewall on March 20, 2014, 05:01:10 PM It must be almost as long since I did a song for KVR as it has been since I did on here. :-[
I'm trying ... honest! As the theme this month is a March (for March) I have made a new arrangement of a song I did quite recently in a rather different form. This was written (lyrics) by a Canadian lady known as Casia and has another Canadian guy doing a synth bagpipes section as well as my daughter, Lilah, contributing the penny-whistle. I programmed the marching drums in JamStix. Hills Of Aberdeen (Casia) One dark knight To my light of day One drop of whiskey And knighthood is goin’ ta pay I can’na resist A maiden in the night I have a silver tongue And a sword ready to fight The full moon is rising On the Hills of Aberdeen I’m ready to take a stand Ready with a steady hand Oh, one dark knight Makes a difference to my day On the Hills of Aberdeen Our love is here to stay I hear them coming Nothing can stop them now But maybe a crimson moon And some luck somehow Give me one last kiss Let the blood rush through my veins I’ve lived a thousand lies I won’t live in vain The full moon is rising On the Hills of Aberdeen I’m ready to take a stand Ready with a steady hand Oh, one dark knight Makes a difference to my day On the Hills of Aberdeen Our love is here to stay Am I a headless horseman I have a soul you know The pipers come to haunt me It seems everywhere I go In the end it’s you and I Fighting for our lives The glory of the future I can see it your eyes On this night of nights In one moment of truth I raise my sword up to the sky In Aberdeen tonight On this night of nights In one moment of truth I raise my sword up to the sky In Aberdeen tonight Lyrics: Casia (Canada) Synth bagpipes: Michel Pilotte (Canada) Penny whistle: Lilah (Edinburgh) Drum programming, guitar, vocal, production: Offthewall. Bedell Discovery acoustic guitar, Generation whistle, SeX1 mic, JamStix3. ReaFir, ReaEQ, VOCEQ-PRO-C, OvertoneGEQ, Spector, OldSkoolVerb. REAPER.
